Octo's Beginnings Octo was founded in 1982 by six plumbing wholesalers in the province of Quebec. In 2002, the name changed to Octo Purchasing Group to better reflect the changes within the group. Octo's 2025 Meet & Greet Langue: Attendance Form Dear Member, Once again, thank you for your interest in the upcoming 2025 Octo Meet & Greet. It will be a great opportunity for you to network with Octo Members and Suppliers at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana the week of April 7th, 2025. Below you will find an initial form to confirm your company’s participation to Octo’s 2025 Meet & Greet. It will allow you to indicate the people from your company who will be attending our event. A second form will be sent to each of the listed individuals so that we can collect all the information needed for their registration (flight & hotel). Once these forms are completed, we will send you an invoice at the beginning of 2025 (if applicable). Supplier Requirements Octo's vendors are very important to our success. Suppliers are chosen specifically to address the needs of the many market segments in which Octo participates. We are always looking for partners to develop new programs for our members, however before we even consider a new vendor, several requirements must be met. Octo only partners with the top market share holders in their respective product category. Product line must be established. $250,000 minimum requirement of established purchase volume within the Octo group. Ability to provide a monthly sales report. Interest in developing ongoing product promotions. Desire to create or develop a mutually beneficial market development program. $400 annual contribution.

Suppliers Initially partnered with 60 suppliers, the count now exceeds 500 and is still expanding. Annual Business Reviews Octo's suppliers participate in the annual business review process, ensuring transparent communication and collaborative decision-making. Through a committee, led by Octo members, they engage in productive discussions aimed at optimizing mutual benefits, fostering long-term partnerships and building a rebate program that will be beneficial to both members and suppliers. Rebates Suppliers pay rebates on a monthly or quarterly schedule. These rebates are distributed to members twice a month, with no delay or withholding to accrue interest. 100% of the rebates received is promptly returned to members, reflecting Octo's commitment to transparency and maximizing cash flow for its members. Annual Auditing External audits verify the complete distribution of all rebates to Octo members, ensuring accountability and transparency in financial operations. Each June, Octo's financial reports are presented for review and approval during the Annual General Assembly, providing members with insight into the organization's fiscal health. Additionally, monthly aging reports are mandatory, offering a real-time assessment of members' financial status and enabling proactive measures to support their stability.
